CPP Start-Age Comparison

Use your own Service Canada estimate to compare the published age adjustments and a simplified cumulative break-even illustration.

Comparison ages

Assumptions and limitations

The tool uses Service Canada's current adjustment of 0.6% per month before 65 and 0.7% per month after 65. It scales your entered estimate; it never assumes maximum CPP. Whole-year timing is used, taxes and investment returns are excluded, and optional indexing is applied as a simple annual illustration.

Actual CPP depends on your contribution record and circumstances. A break-even age does not decide what is right for health, longevity, cash flow, survivor planning, taxes, RRSP withdrawals or a partner. Confirm your estimate in My Service Canada Account and read the current CPP start-age rules.

Add taxes, RRSP withdrawals, OAS and your partner.
