The whole product in four questions
Not a calculator. A decision-support companion.
Every screen answers one honest question, so you're never lost in the math.
Where am I today?
An honest, judgment-free picture of what you've built.
Where do I want to go?
Define the chapter you're actually trying to write.
Am I ready?
Chapter readiness in human terms: Ready, Nearly ready, or Needs adjustment.
What would it take?
The specific, do-able moves that close the gap.
Your lifestyle and your income are different choices.
Most tools tangle them together. Chapterwise keeps them independent and composable, so you can mix the lifestyle you want with the income rule that fits you.
- Lifestyle Pattern: Steady, Active Early Years, or a fully Custom shape for how spending changes over time.
- Income Strategy: from a simple benchmark to adaptive, guardrail-based spending.
- Every option opens a four-part guide: what it is, how it works, the technical methodology, and when it's a good fit.

Income strategies
Plain-language strategies, rigorous methodology.
Choose in plain English. The technical model stays one tap away in every information panel. Never hidden, never in your face.
Constant Withdrawal
A simple, fixed-percentage baseline (4% by default, adjustable) to compare everything against.
Methodology: the 4% RuleAdaptive Income
Let spending rise modestly in good times and ease back when needed, always within visible limits.
Methodology: Guyton-Klinger guardrailsProtect My Plan
Prioritize long-term sustainability: reduce sooner, raise more cautiously, protect your essential floor.
Reduces risk, never a guaranteeCustom Strategy
Tune the guardrail parameters yourself, within ranges the engine can safely support.
Full control, validatedShape the spend, not just the savings
The answer is not always “save more.”
This illustrative couple starts with the same $1.89 million, the same 2032 retirement date, and the same $112,000 active-years lifestyle in both plans. Only the later spending shape changes.
No extra savings and no retirement delay. The active years remain $112,000, then ease to $95,200 and $78,400 as the chapter changes. The figures are an illustrative, reproducible model example, not a promise of future results.
Readiness you can actually read.
We test your plan across a thousand reproducible market paths and translate the result into a single honest verdict, then show the moves that would strengthen it.
- Chapter readiness: Ready, Nearly ready, or Needs adjustment, with the confidence figure behind it.
- See how adapting within guardrails changes the odds, the deepest modelled cut, and years with an adjustment.
- We measure readiness, not "success," and we never imply guardrails remove risk.

A report experience you will actually explore.
Start with a clear readiness verdict, the four numbers that matter, and visual answers about assets, income, taxes, and strategy. Print or save a clean PDF when an advisor needs it.
- Preview the complete plan in the browser before deciding whether to print anything.
- Every projected year reconciles within one dollar, and the audit trail proves it.
- Governed Canadian tax and benefit rules, with sources you can inspect.
- Strategy methodology and professional evidence remain available without crowding the everyday report.

Headline report, then the evidence
Readiness, spending, estate value, lifetime tax, and projected assets are visible before the deeper advisor material.
Every projected year explained
Choose a year to see income, withdrawals, tax, spending, active events, and the annual reconciliation.
Anywhere you plan
Your whole plan, in your pocket.
A calm, focused experience on every screen. Check your readiness, adjust a strategy, and complete your monthly plan check-in, from the couch or the coffee shop.

Quick start
From a blank page to a useful first answer.
The guided interview starts broad, shows a directional result while you work, and lets you refine every account and assumption afterward.

Questions
Good to know
Is Chapterwise a retirement calculator?
No. The financial engine is rigorous, but the product is a decision-support companion for your next chapter of life. Retirement modelling is simply the mechanism that answers "am I ready, and what would it take?"
Is it built for Canada?
Yes. CPP, OAS, RRSP/RRIF, TFSA, non-registered accounts, and federal and provincial tax rules are modelled with governed rule packages, and every projected year reconciles within a dollar.
What's the difference between the income strategies?
Constant Withdrawal is a simple 4%-style benchmark. Adaptive Income flexes your spending within guardrails. Protect My Plan is a more conservative variant. Custom lets advanced users tune the parameters. Each opens a plain-language guide with the full technical methodology.
Do guardrails guarantee I won't run out of money?
No. Dynamic-spending guardrails can improve how long a plan lasts, but they reduce risk, not eliminate it. Chapterwise never implies otherwise.
Is my data private?
Your plan is household-controlled with private assumptions. Account and household deletion controls are always available in Settings.
