Invitation-only private beta

Privacy Notice

Scope and review status

This notice describes how Chapterwise handles personal information during its invitation-only Canadian private beta. It is implemented for beta transparency and remains subject to review and approval by Chapterwise legal counsel before general commercial release. If reviewed language materially changes how information is handled, beta participants will be notified through the application or their invitation channel.

Information Chapterwise handles

Chapterwise handles identity-provider identifiers, contact details supplied through sign-in, household memberships and roles, invitations, retirement-plan inputs, saved chapters, calculation results, subscription and entitlement status, consent records, security audit events, support communications, exports and deletion requests. Stripe handles full payment-card data; Chapterwise receives limited customer, checkout and subscription references.

Purposes and authority

Information is used to authenticate users, operate household plans, perform requested calculations, save and synchronize work, administer invitations and subscriptions, prevent abuse, provide support, meet legal obligations and improve reliability. Private-beta participation and requested product functions provide the operational basis for this processing; consent is requested where applicable.

Households and service providers

A household owner controls membership and can invite another person. Authorized household members may see information stored in that household according to their role. Chapterwise uses managed cloud identity, hosting, storage, monitoring and payment providers. These providers process information under their own contractual and security obligations and may process data outside a participant's province or Canada where permitted by law.

Public analytics and calculators

Public calculators run locally in the browser. Calculator values are not placed in URLs or analytics payloads. Chapterwise records only allowlisted interaction names, the public page path and a nonfinancial interface label through its first-party Azure monitoring endpoint. It does not intentionally send balances, income, birth dates, pension estimates, access codes, invitation tokens or authentication tokens in these events.

Retention, security and deletion

Chapterwise uses HTTPS, hosting-platform encryption at rest, managed authentication and application-enforced household authorization. Records are retained only as reasonably needed for the beta, security, billing, consent, dispute and legal purposes. Settings provides supported export, session and deletion controls. Some audit, agreement, billing or backup records may remain for a limited period after deletion where required for security, recovery or law.

Your choices and questions

Participants may review and update plan information, export supported data, leave a household where permitted, revoke sessions and request account or household deletion through Settings. For access, correction, privacy or security questions, use the Privacy Center in the application or reply to the verified private-beta invitation or support thread. Do not send passwords, access codes, identity documents or financial balances in an initial message.
