Trust & Transparency

Trust & Transparency

Retirement planning asks you to make decisions about the rest of your life. That takes trust. We think you should be able to understand the assumptions, calculations, methodology, limitations, privacy, and security behind your plan — not simply receive an answer.

Why retirement planning requires trust

A retirement plan is only useful if you believe it. Small assumptions — an inflation rate, a return, a start age for CPP — compound over decades, so the honest thing to do is show them to you and let you change them.

Chapterwise is built so that every result can be traced back to the inputs and rules that produced it. This section explains, in plain language, how the product works and how we handle your information.

Our principles

Six principles guide how we build and describe Chapterwise.

Transparent methodology

We show the assumptions, rules, and limitations behind every number — not just the answer. You can see, and change, what drives your plan.

Responsible planning

We describe estimates as estimates. Chapterwise is planning software, not financial, tax, or investment advice, and it never promises a market or life outcome.

Privacy

Your plan is household-controlled with private assumptions. You can export or delete your data, and we tell you plainly what we collect and why.

Security

Chapterwise runs on Microsoft Azure and adds its own application-level controls: modern authentication, least-privilege access, and encrypted communications and storage.

Educational guidance

We explain the concepts — CPP timing, RRIF minimums, withdrawal order — and link to official CRA and Service Canada sources so you can verify for yourself.

Continuous improvement

Rules, assumptions, and safeguards change over time. We keep this Trust section current and welcome responsible reports that help us improve.

One important note

Chapterwise is self-directed retirement scenario-planning software. It provides estimates, comparisons, and illustrative planning options based on your inputs and documented assumptions. It does not provide financial, investment, securities, tax, accounting, or legal advice.

Readiness measures modelling credibility and coverage, not certainty about markets or life. Confirm important decisions with qualified professionals.
